MARKETING . COPYWRITING . INNOVATION .
Whether you’ve got a great new idea or one that you’ve been working on for years, I’ll show you how to implement a proven step-by-step formula for turning your ideas into reality.
How To Create Products That Sell
I know .. I know .. that’s a really bold statement and it seems like everyone in the internet marketing space has a claim that they can show you how to create a product that will sell.
In fact, some people say that they can teach you how sell a product BEFORE you create it. Which I think is a bad idea but that’s besides the point. The point is .. I’m not one of those people.
I decided to create this website for two purposes. First, to use as a reference guide for product creation in my own business. Second, as a place for my kids to learn all their dad’s “secrets” of creating and launching a successful product that people are starving to buy.
Creation to Launch: The 3 Core Elements
The three core elements that you’ll need to take your product from idea to launch are:
Each one of these key elements has a list of “to-do’s” and “how-to’s” which will walk you through the entire process.
I’ve created an outline below so you can see a visual of everything all at once. As new content (posts and videos) are created they will be linked from the outline below for easy, one-click access.
Element #1: INNOVATION
Innovation is such an obscure word because it means different things to different people. Not the actual definition of the word but what the word “innovation” means to one person could vastly different to someone else.
For example, let’s take a look at the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner (and no, I am not related to that company … I’m just lucky enough to have the same last name). Anyway, some would argue that the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner is “innovative” because it uses some new technology to pick up dirt off the floor. Others would argue that it is just another brand of vacuum cleaner.
Regardless of which statement you believe the truth is that every product on the market goes through an innovation process defined by a series of steps which are listed below. The steps are taken from Adobe Kickbox and used by my business every day.
To start any journey without understanding your true purpose is to fail before you begin. Your own motivations illuminate the path to success.
Great ideas emerge from great insight. Learn to spark your imagination by observing the world not as it is ... but as it should be.
All ideas begin life as bad ideas. Learn to grow bad ideas into good ideas and the secret of knowing which is which.
Is an idea valuable? It's a question only customers can answer. Find out quickly by validating your ideas with real-world experiments.
Assess the data from your experiments to evolve your hypothesis. Devise clever experiments to reveal the true nature of your idea.
Even great ideas must prove their worth in corporate combat. To conquer the process, use data to prove your idea or to sell to an organization.
