How To Create Products That Sell

I know .. I know .. that’s a really bold statement and it seems like everyone in the internet marketing space has a claim that they can show you how to create a product that will sell.

In fact, some people say that they can teach you how sell a product BEFORE you create it. Which I think is a bad idea but that’s besides the point. The point is .. I’m not one of those people.

I decided to create this website for two purposes. First, to use as a reference guide for product creation in my own business. Second, as a place for my kids to learn all their dad’s “secrets” of creating and launching a successful product that people are starving to buy.

Creation to Launch: The 3 Core Elements

The three core elements that you’ll need to take your product from idea to launch are:

  • Innovation
  • Copywriting
  • Marketing

Each one of these key elements has a list of “to-do’s” and “how-to’s” which will walk you through the entire process.

Element #1: INNOVATION

Innovation is such an obscure word because it means different things to different people. Not the actual definition of the word but what the word “innovation” means to one person could vastly different to someone else.

For example, let’s take a look at the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner (and no, I am not related to that company … I’m just lucky enough to have the same last name). Anyway, some would argue that the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner is “innovative” because it uses some new technology to pick up dirt off the floor. Others would argue that it is just another brand of vacuum cleaner.

Regardless of which statement you believe the truth is that every product on the market goes through an innovation process defined by a series of steps which are listed below. The steps are taken from Adobe Kickbox and used by my business every day.
